  • Please bring a towel and your usual nappy bag and feeding supplies. We will have mats and cushions laid out and oil will be provided at the first session. We will discuss the oil provided and perform a patch test on baby’s arm in class.

  • Ideally baby should have had their 6-8 week check before the first session, there isn’t a problem if they haven’t but please let me know.

Baby Massage sessions are for newborns and pre-crawlers. If your baby is mobile and you are interested in a massage session please do contact me to see what we can arrange.

  • Mums, dads, grandparents or any other carer can attend with baby, but we can only accommodate one adult per baby and its helpful if the same adult would attend all the sessions.

  • Our sessions will start with time to settle in and introductions. I will talk through what strokes we will be practising and we will have a guided relaxation moment for the grown ups. We will then move onto the baby massage. After the massage I will hand out teas and home made cake, and there will be time for a chat. At the end of the session I will give hand outs with descriptions of the strokes we worked on in class so you can practice at home.

  • Each of the sessions will cover a different part of the body massage, for example - week 1 we will work on legs and feet, in week 2 we move on to tummy and recap the previous class, and so on working up the body. Leading on to week 5 where we will do a full body massage.

  • I encourage parents or carers to tend to their babies needs during the class. At some point most of the babies will need a cuddle, feed or a change, maybe even a nap. We are baby led in these classes and it’s very relaxed.

  • Sensory Story Time is a gentle, baby-led class where a favourite children’s book is brought to life through expression, sensory play, textures, music and movement. Babies are encouraged to explore the story using their senses in a calm, welcoming environment.

  • The class is suitable for babies from around 6 months through to 18 months. Every baby develops at their own pace, so sessions are designed to be flexible and inclusive for a wide range of stages.

  • Each sessions last around 45 mins and includes:

    • a warm welcome and settling in time

    • a story with sensory elements explored during and after

    • songs and rhymes

    • time to relax, cuddle and connect

Everything is baby-led, there is no expectation for babies to join in in a particular way.

  • That’s completely fine, the class is designed to be relaxed and supportive. You are welcome to feed, cuddle, settle or change your baby whenever needed.

  • The sessions support early development in line with the EYFS, particularly:

    • communication and language

    • physical development

    • personal, social and emotional development

Through stories, sensory exploration and shared experiences, babies build curiosity, early language skills and confidence. You can read more about how the classes support your baby’s early development here in my blog.

  • Classes are held in my warm, welcoming home. My full address address is shared once your booking is confirmed.

  • Yes. Classes are run on a term time basis and spaces are limited to keep groups small. Booking in advance is essential.
